Kristin Sund, October 2009

Our Ovation for October goes out to Kristin Sund, Student Worker in the Bureau of Sociological Research.
As her nominators say:
"Kristin Sund is an ideal candidate for the Ovation award. Through her work as a data worker for the Bureau of Sociological Research (BOSR), she has proven herself time and time again as a reliable, hard working, responsible, and bright addition to our BOSR family. Kristin is assigned to work on projects that are constantly. Regardless of her current assignment, she jumps right in to whatever is in front of her and consistently works in a high-quality and efficient manner. We're especially eager to have Kristin receive recognition for her contributions to the BOSR because of her mild and kind personality. As someone who is the antithesis of the squeaky wheel, she could easily be overlooked because of her consistent and quiet performance but is someone who definitely is highly worthy of the recognition!"
"Kristin is an extremely dedicated and competent worker. She is always willing to take on new tasks related to data entry, many of which are tedious and time-consuming. She does so with a smile and almost complete independence. In the past 2 1/2 years that she has worked at BOSR, she has developed skills beyond those normally required of our data-entry staff. We greatly appreciate her ability to tackle new challenges and work independently to get the job done in a timely manner!"
"Please consider Kristin Sund as a deserving candidate for the Ovation award. Kristin completes less-than-glamorous tasks such as data entry, transcription, and envelope stuffing. Even though her work isn’t exciting, she never hesitates to tackle whatever we send her way. As the Director of the Bureau, I am often removed from the extremely detailed and repetitious daily projects. What I appreciate about Kristin are the reports that I hear from my project management staff about how helpful, easy, and trust worthy she is and how she can easily transition to any project assigned to her. The details of our work are what can make or break a project’s successful completion. Having Kristin involved in a project makes daily activities for other staff less stressful, knowing tasks assigned to her will be completed efficiently and in a high quality manner. Kristin is more than worthy of an OVATION!"
