We can only provide services on equipment purchased by the University, in accordance with the by-laws of the University.

Macintosh

We have contracted out with Information Services for Macintosh support. Please contact your departmental office to arrange support.

New PC

• Analyze present system, develop replacement plan if necessary and prepare quotes
• Setup new system   build new system or physical setup new system from a vendor, transfer files from old system, install and configure software, connect to network file servers and network printers.

Existing PC

• Hardware Upgrades   perform upgrades on motherboards, ram, hard drives etc.
• Hardware Troubleshooting   perform troubleshooting on various hardware components
• Software Upgrades   upgrade operating system and application software
• Software Troubleshooting   troubleshoot operating system software

Network

Setup and maintain Windows file servers including creating and managing user accounts, groups and file shares. Provide backup services of file servers.

Setup and maintain network printers including installing print drivers and configuring TCP/IP connections to print servers.
